Jun 15, 2018 from what i read on OP's post, it seems that he got a 'missing x com 2 file' or 'a corrupted xcom 2 file' before he go verify integrity of game files. In other words, there is this suggestion i can recommend 1) unsubscribe to all the mods you using currently and then re-subscribe to them again. If those voice packs were recently downloaded? XCOM 2. No sound in game ? no cinematics sound, your gameplay have no voices sound, no actors sound, audio ambience not present, game movie are muted, speakers not working in game, no sound when playing ? To fix no sound, does no matter if you have already directx installed, you must install it again to fix no sound problem. You can install it from game folder or you can download it from here and then restart your laptop or pc and try to play game again. (now with sound i hope)

  • Jun 01, 2015 I literally found this post via a google search for the same issue. Every voice pack specifically made for WoTC works just fine, but regular voice packs always have the lil’ yellow exclamation point (indicating it only works in Vanilla) and don’t work even when selected.

By installing / reinstalling latest version of directx, your sound problem should be solved already.
